Welcome to The Backyard

When we opened Coffee on 3rd, we never wanted it to be just a coffee shop. We wanted it to be a place where people could gather, slow down, build relationships, and feel like they belonged.

 

As we watched families, friends, and neighbors come through our doors, we realized our community needed more than a place to grab a cup of coffee. They needed a place to connect.

 

That’s where The Backyard was born.

 

What started as a vision became a space where kids can play, families can spend time together, local businesses can grow, and our community can come alive. It’s a place for live music, markets, celebrations, fundraisers, worship nights, and everyday moments that turn strangers into friends.

 

The Backyard was built on the belief that community matters. It’s an extension of everything Coffee on 3rd stands for—faith, connection, and loving people well. We wanted to create a space where people could gather without feeling rushed, where local entrepreneurs could be supported, and where memories could be made for years to come.

 

Today, The Backyard is more than a venue or event space. It’s a reflection of our mission: creating a place where coffee is the excuse, but community is the reason people stay.
